Yuri A. Zaika

 

Head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure, Doctor of Law, Professor, police colonel. He teaches civil law, housing law, family law, foundations of Roman civil law.

 

In 1977 he graduated from the Law School, and in 1983 - Faculty of Journalism of the State Shevchenko University.

He worked as a public notary, a senior arbitrator of technological maintenance of the national economy of State Committee of Ukrainian SSR, assistant of the Department of Economic Law at the State University, was in the military.

Since 1989 - serving in law enforcement agencies. Since 1990 - Deputy Head, and since 2010 - Head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.

In 1986 he defended his thesis "Theoretical Problems and practical implementation of the principles of immediacy and orality in Soviet criminal process" specialty 12.00.09 (supervisor – Doctor of Law Professor Suslo D.S.), and in 2007 . - doctoral thesis "Formation and development of inheritance law in Ukraine" in specialty 12.00.03 (scientific consultant – Corresponding Member of NALS Doctor of Law Professor O.V.Dzera).

In 1994 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor, and in 2004 - the title of Professor . Prepared 5 PhDs.

 Author of over 240 scientific and educational works, including 36 textbooks of civil, inheritance, family, housing, insurance and transport law, including 6 monographs, co-author of Scientific and Practical Commentary: Law of Ukraine "On Militia "Law of Ukraine "On preventing and combating Corruption" (2012 ), "Civil Procedural Code of Ukraine (2008, 2010), the Civil Code of Ukraine (2006) / Ed. by A.M.Dovhert and N.S.Kuznyetsova, the Civil Code of Ukraine / Ed. by I.V. Spasibo - Fateeva. - Vol 12 (2009), the Civil Code of Ukraine / Ed. By N.S.Kuznyetsova, O.V.Dzera, V.V.Luts (2005, 2006 , 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013) , co- author of the testimony.

The textbook " Civil Law of Ukraine" awarded honorary award of the Republican contest for the best legal publication "In the modern concept of teaching civil rights" and the first competition of the MIA of Ukraine honors for the best scientific, educational and periodicals in the MIA.

He is a part of the Academic Council, Board on Science and Methodical Council NAIA. Head of Specialized academic council 26.007.06 of the National Academy of Internal Affairs (specialty 12.00.03 - civil law and civil procedure, family law, private international law), a member of the doctoral Specialized Academic Council Institute of Private Law and Business of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (12.00 Specialty 03, 12.00.04).

Member of the editorial board of "Scientific Proceedings of the National Academy of Internal Affairs", "Legal Journal of the National Academy of Internal Affairs ", a collection of scientific papers "Legal Science" of the National Academy of Management .

Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court of Ukraine and the Scientific Advisory Board of the High Specialized Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases.

The winner of the chess Open Cup of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine.

Honorary Professor of the National Academy of Internal Affairs. Marked by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "Excellence in Education of Ukraine." He was awarded the Diploma of the Supreme council of Ukraine "For Service to the Ukrainian people."
